Ireland's Marine Power,
Electrical and Electronics Specialists
Marine Electrics works primarily with boat owners on the
Irish East and South coasts who want the security of knowing
that their boat's electrics and electronics have been installed to the highest
standards with a two year parts and labour warranty.
From talking to our customers, they have told us that the
following are the most important issues when getting work
carried out on their boats by Marine Electrics
- Efficient, reliable installations
- Best quality materials and products used on their boats
- Transparent pricing, fixed quotations
- Comprehensive two year parts and labour warranty
- Excellent after sales service
Marine Electrics have been working with owners of boats from
15' motor boats to 105' superyachts to resolve electrical, electronic and instrument problems and provide quality installations. We have a solid
record of successfully designing and installing electrical
systems that allow boat owners to get the most use from their
boats without being tied to the marina for power. We also supply and install Simrad and B&G instrument systems.
We recently carried out an electrical overhaul on the Team Delta Lloyd entry in the Volvo Ocean Race 2008/2009. This was originally the ABN Amro 1 boat (Black Betty) which won the Volvo Ocean Race 2005/2006. As it was a very late entry in the race, there was quite a lot of work to be done on the electrics, within tight schedules, to ensure that the boat was ready for the start in Alicante. Some of the lessons learned, particularly concerning keeping weights and measurements within the Class Rules might be of interest to those who want to keep their race boats competitive...
